Intro to Restorative Justice Practices
Go over Expectations, RJP Objectives, and Schedule.
Take Attendance


9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Individual Counseling – Reflection

Individual counseling to help the student reflect on the choices that led to the disciplinary action.
Explore the student’s feelings, perspectives, and voice in the situation.
Identify choices that could have been made instead and highlight key lessons learned.
Discuss who was impacted by the student’s actions, in what ways, and how those relationships can be repaired.
Collaboratively develop ideas for making amends and restoring trust.
Connect the reflection to an Academic Skill or strategy that supports the student’s personal and academic growth.

Break + 5 Min Comm Service
Time for Breakfast, water, restroom, and support Cafeteria with 5 min comm service


10:15 AM – 12:00PM
Skill Lesson

Provide targeted instruction that helps the student understand the root cause or function of their behavior.
Teach and model positive replacement skills and strategies that address the same need in healthier, more constructive ways.
Offer opportunities to practice these new skills in real or simulated situations.
Reinforce progress and highlight the connection between positive choices, restored relationships, and academic success.

Skill Building Lesson & Discussion

Community Service


2:10 PM – 3:30 PM
Restitution & Connection Lesson & Discussion

Guide the student in taking responsibility by acknowledging the harm caused and identifying meaningful ways to repair it.
Collaboratively develop a restitution plan that may include: apology (verbal or written), restorative conversation, acts of service, or other agreements that rebuild trust.
